Vacation…? Hardly
So I’m sure everyone is wondering why I haven’t been posting lately. Well things for me have been pretty crazy, first off our internet provider decided it was necessary to turn off our internet…for good… Then we have been in the process of moving to our new home across town that we absolutely love and it only took like a week for our internet to be turned on at our new place! I guess thats pretty good around here. And finally last week I had a accident that involved my index finger on my right hand being stuck between two incredibly heavy objects. So needless to say I haven’t been to thrilled to type. This post itself has taken WAY to long already.
But in the mean time I have been interviewing with a local company named Klim, they market and sell high end outerwear for things like snowmobiling and dirt biking. Their products are extremely well crafted and everyone in the area that I’ve talked to cant stop saying how good the stuff is. The job is perfect for me, it would be the web communication specialist, basically taking everything that I learned in my last semester of classes and apply it directly to this job. So our efforts are finally paying off. We have been doing everything we can to promote this video and things are really going well, we are having blogs from Italy, France, Australia and now Romania is the newest country for it to become a hit.

So I’m just speaking out loud here. I will be graduating from college in about 4 weeks and am wondering what can I do to help my chances in finding a job/internship? I want to learn a better way to market myself and get my presence out there to companies that would be interested in a great public relations specialist! I thought this was funny. Since I’m sure that social media will be the primary way that people gets their news, putting outlets like Fox News and CNN out of business…Well, maybe that’s a little dramatic.
I guess the iPad isn’t all bad
I’ve been kind of critical about the new iPad, but after seeing what Wired has in store for the new device is really getting my hopes up. Personally, I love magazines and to make them super interactive would be a huge incentive. To be able to rotate images 360 degrees and dive into diagrams and graphs would be awesome! Will I be lining up though to buy the first iPad…probably not.

Well its when people express their dissatisfied feelings about certain products and services of which companies provide. There are plenty of people who are advocates for those companies but this book tells you have to behave and react to these “Badvocates.” And the power they are now gaining over the internet. Down goes Toyota… Because of Twitter!?
Having a Toyota for years and never having any problems with it, I feel kinda bad for the car manufacturer. But then again, no single company is above certain crisis’s, its how they handle them that really defines the company. But recent searches on Twitter, have been nothing but bad news for the auto giant. Seems like everyone has something to say, and its not all good. This is just another testament of how important and powerful social media is turning out to be.
